Statistics: Business confidence falls in mining in June

MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s June business confidence index fell by 1 percentage point in the mining industry, but remained flat in the processing industry, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday.

“The index of business confidence, reflecting the generalized state of business activity, in June 2021 amounted to -1.0% in mining; 0.0% in manufacturing,” the service said.

The economic situation is considered favorable by 11% of mining firms and satisfactory by 75% of managers, in manufacturing by 11% and 74%, respectively.

Improvement of the economic situation in the next six months is expected by 16% of mining respondents, in manufacturing 26%.
